Description
Substance Painter automation with Python Course is taught by a seasoned Technical Artist and will teach you how to build a custom artistic solution for Substance Painter using Python. This course is helpful for 3d Digital Artists, Technical Artists, Gameplay Programmers or anyone else who wants to learn more about automation.
The course starts with some Python fundamentals for newcomers so they can learn the important basics for starting this course, then we will start working with Substance Painter Python API and create widgets and access Painter features. You will learn about Texture Set export automation, Naming Validation and improving Custom Exporter, Resolution Validation and making sure that anyone exporting the data from Painter in the team is following the specified texture resolution budget, and how to prevent any slipped-through high-res textures usage.
At the end, you will publish your project and learn about documentation, hotkeys, code annotations, and leftover bug fixes. During the course, you will use Substance Painter’s Python API and PySide2 library, and with so many challenges provided, you will have many practices.
